This single origin Certified Organic Cacao Nibs are from the finest heirloom variety cacao beans. The indigenous Peruvian growers employ a traditional method of cultivation by planting the cacao trees and other fruit plants under the natural rainforest canopy. The pods are harvested and cracked open, before the beans are removed and fermented, at a low temperature not exceeding 45°C. They are free of preservative and any artificial additives, and are non-GMO. Organic cacao nibs have a rich, brown colour, a crunchy texture and a decadent full-bodied, tangy chocolate flavour and aroma.
